Thanks for ripping my heart out. *cries for hours*
So I’ll be honest. I love this book. I loved Katie & Ryan. I love the story line. I love the ending. (And pretty much everything in between, naturally I loved it.)  J. Saman became an auto buy for me now. Eck!
My heart was in this book the whole time I was reading it. Which is a big deal simply because recently I have been going through a huge slump and this book put me in a book hangover. (Thanks, now I’m messed up because I just want to reread this for a couple months)

Katie was such an amazing character. I cried for her when Maggie & Eric were at the hospital in the beginning of the book. It broke my heart, I could never imagine having to go through that. She was so amazing and incredibly strong. Right then in the intro I knew I was in for it.  I cried when she cried at the memories of them. My heart was breaking with hers every time she remembered them.  I never get so attached to characters this quick. but boy did I.

Ryan was gah. I just. I want to hug that boy. (Also other things *wink wink*) I really loved how we find out more about his job as we go rather then knowing straight from the start, defiently makes me interested in the character more. It builds more mystery around him which just makes him more of a heart throb in my personal opinion. Combine that with the fact that he is obviously smart AND Good looking?  Is there a sign up sheet? I want to be on it!
Pick up this book if you get the chance everyone! Your heart will break in all the right ways and be sewn back together. J. Saman did an amazing job! I cannot wait to read the second book.

REVIEW:
Stars: 3.5/5

Going to start off by saying this should not be read unless you are 17+ there are aspects of Rape and torture. As well as Strong Sexual Content.

Now that I got that out of the way! This book defiantly is a piece of work. Dracones is definitely dark fantasy. It was so beautifully written.

I did have a few issues with the talk about Rape (This can be a trigger warning) I was unaware of that when I talked to the Author about reviewing her book. That is another reason why it took me so long to get through. I had to stop so I wouldn’t freak out at certain points. That was my biggest problem with the book.
Other than that the Characters were nicely written and I loved the story line. It kept me going and I kept wanting to know what happened!
I don’t want to give away too much of the plot or the outcomes of the book but GAHHH. Jaxxxxx. *Whistle* That hunk of Dracone.
(Also this book is Perm-free (70% sure) on Amazon so if you want to give it a try you should!)

REVIEW:
Stars: 100/5 Stars (or for the people who don’t like exaggeration thats 5/5)

This book was amazing, I stayed up all night because I could not put it down!

I absolutely loved how Jennifer built this world, literally, its another world set after the destruction of Earth after getting supernova’d by our sun. This world is called Xon 9, in this world there is Ka, our main character is having a dilemma because she doesn’t know what element she should choose for her future.

There are five elements; wood, earth, metal, fire, and water him and which ever element you are chosen for or picked for, there are good sides and bad sides to each element and they each have an affinity for jobs in the community.

Ka was a very well developed main character, she’s very relatable, and extremely strong. There is some romance but doesn’t take away from the action packed story at all. I found myself constantly saying, one more chapter until I finished the whole book. (No regret whatsoever) I cannot wait for the second book, its moved to the top of my TBR and this one is on my favorites shelf already!

I don’t want to give away any spoilers but definitely try and get your hands on this book! You won’t regret it!

Introduction to Blog!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my Blog!

I currently run a Youtube Channel.  As I get deeper into the Youtube world,  I haven’t been able to post as much due to be so busy with things. This in turn has resulted in so many reviews not getting posted. I have a lot of free time at night, which I currently spent Binge watching Netflix.. So, I could spend time writing my reviews up. I can’t film at night due to the fact that I don’t live alone and I don’t have the right equipment for it as of now.

So what does all this rambling mean for you?!

It means a better chance at Author Interviews! Who doesn’t love to ask the author questions?  It means you will get my reviews faster and more often! I hate that I have reviews stacking up and no time to film, edit and  post my reviews! So if you want to be able to see my reviews first here is your chance!

I can’t wait to start posting reviews for you! I have so many notes on books that I’ve been waiting to get out!

xx Britta

Goodreads Rating: 4.29 Stars

Goodreads Summary:

At the age of eighteen, musician and songwriter Cooper O’Connor took everything his father held dear and drove 1,200 miles from home to Nashville, his life riding on a six-string guitar and the bold wager that he had talent. But his wager soon proved foolish.

Five years after losing everything, he falls in love with Daley Cross, an angelic voice in need of a song. But just as he realizes his love for Daley, Cooper faces a tragedy that threatens his life as well as his career. With nowhere else to go, he returns to his remote home in the Colorado Mountains, searching for answers about his father and his faith.

When Daley shows up on his street corner twenty years later, he wonders if it’s too late to tell her the truth about his past—and if he is ready to face it.

A radical retelling of the story of the prodigal son, Long Way Gone takes us from tent revivals to the Ryman Auditorium to the tender relationship between a broken man and the father who never stopped calling him home.

Review:

Stars: 3.5/5

I’ll be honest this book took awhile for me to get into it. I really liked the characters but, sadly,  I felt like it took to long for the story to really pick up. I put the book down so many times to stop reading but I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen to the characters.

I loved the aspect of Music that was included in the book. I haven’t been able to find a lot of good books that include music. While it is very apparent that this is a Christian Fiction book I felt like it was a breath of fresh air were religion wasn’t pushed as hard.

I’m not sure yet if I will pick up another book by Charles Martin yet. Captivating but simply too slow for me.
