The rules are simple: unattached companionship, toe-curling sex and a clean break whenever it ends. And it will end. Darby’s groundbreaking medical research will launch her into career stardom. Michael’s status as an architectural wunderkind will send him to a far-flung locale. Either one can say the single word that will break it off: Snapdragon.
But soul-deep sex is just the beginning. Michael becomes a fierce ally against her misogynist boss, a light to chase away the shadow of her notorious father, and the antidote to her crushing loneliness. Choosing love over ambition is the one thing she said she’d never do. And Darby must fight hard not to fall in love.
GET READY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH SNAPDRAGON

Deeply meaningful, desperately sexual, and inevitably bittersweet, Snapdragon deals with the quandary of choosing love over career, the weight of adulthood and the complexity of modern work-life. It rewrites the book on what a 21st century relationship should look like and keeps the reader wondering how it will end.

A business executive by day, a writer of smart contemporary fiction by night, a lover of words and an admirer of the artists who arrange them cleverly. These days, most of what I read is on audiobook (because, whose hands are free long enough to turn pages?) I’m the mother of two, an oenophile, a cinephile, and above all else, a hopeless fic fiend. “Snapdragon” is my debut original novel, though I spent many years as a well-liked fan fiction author. In the fanfic world, my stories have been read more than 1.4 million times, were favorited more than 5,900 times and received more than 4,200 reviews. Though I haven’t written fan fiction since 2012, I still receive hundreds of reads a day.

REVIEW:
Stars: 5 Stars
I’ve recently been hitting Romance Books pretty hard. Ill admit a few of them have been a little off, but Snapdragon has not been one of those books.

Snapdragon pulled me in instantly with the prospect of the deal. Throughout the whole book I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen in their arrangement, waiting for Snapdragon to be spoken and have everything Untangle.

I finished Snapdragon quick since I couldn’t seem to find a valid reason to put it down and start anything else.  Pick up your Copy today and fall into the sheets with Darby & Michael.

Except from the book:

THE DEAL

“I wasn’t kidding about the orgasms. They need to be toe-curling and there’d need to be at least four, every time we…”
“What if I promised you five? Would you see me if I promised you five?” He asked again only after he’d gently devoured her mouth once more.
“Lofty goal, Don’t you think?” she murmured against his chin, not waiting for an answer before capturing his lips once again.
“I’m an overachiever,” he said darkly as he pulled back.
“Six?” He nipped at her neck.
She might have laughed at his bravado if kissing him hadn’t felt so good. The idea was ludicrous—six orgasms? Even the four she’d mentioned had been an exaggeration. Still, a stab of anticipatory pleasure tingled up her spine as she realized this talented man might just deliver.
“This ends at sunrise,” she managed, still out of breath as she pulled away long enough to say the words.
“I thought you didn’t do one-night stands.”
“It’s not a one-night stand. It’s an interview.”

Goodreads Summary:

How long would you wait for love?
How hard would you fight for it?

Samantha Johnson never thought she would meet her soul mate at the age of five. Yet she did. She is irrevocably in love with the man that has always been there for her. He is her strength, and she is certain he’ll be in her life forever. But she doesn’t realize that life doesn’t go the way we plan, and he is about to rip her heart to pieces.

Jonathan Smith doesn’t believe in love. His parents’ failed marriage is just another testament of the deception people willingly put themselves through. A mistake he will never allow himself to make. No exceptions. He only needs one thing, Sam. She has been his best friend since they were kids. She knows him better than anyone, and he owes her everything.

Until one fated night, and five unforgettable words, changed their lives forever. Now, thousands of miles apart, they will be forced to build a new life. But sometimes the worst of heartbreaks are meant to be.

Can they find their way back to each other, or does true love have an expiration date?

REVIEW:
Stars: 4.5/5 Stars
** spoiler alert ** So I love this book. I couldn’t put it down. I feel heartbroken by that cliff hanger ending too.

Writing: 5/5
Love Interest 1: 1/5
Love Interest 2: 4/5
That 5 Year later part is gonna haunt me..

Feels on the book:
Samantha: I LOVE HER. It was insta love for me. I felt like I could relate to the character and that is such a big deal for me. I love her story with Jonathan(In the beginning if I’m being honest, more on that later) and Christopher . Just wow. Amazing.

Jonathan: Well I hate to say it but ugh. Just No. I had no love for him at any part of the story except for when he was little. I don’t know if it was just me but I didnt like him. He seemed like what my gen would call a “Fuck boy” I feel bad for hating him but I just didnt like him. (Might be personal reasons but he reminded me of my ex and I spent the WHOLE book wanting to punch him in the face)

Jonathan & Samantha: Ill admit it was super cute that they grew up together and they had a deep connection, but I just didn’t feel like they belonged together (Horrible right?) In my mind I’m just stuck in the the asshole is doing great, go figure. jack off. Samantha deserves better… which leads me to…

Samantha & Christopher: WOW. Okay. I loved them together. I felt like they fixed each other. I didnt feel it in a rebound way I honestly wanted them to be together. I still do. They fit together, they have the same interests and he is amazing. He is the guy Samantha deserves.

Let me say again I love this book. It is going to stay with me, but I can’t help but feel robbed. Jonathan just reminds me way too much of the Guy that you should stay away from when Christopher is much rather the guy you should be with. Maybe its just me?

**Disclaimers**
