Goodreads Summary:

No one’s afterlife is as dispiriting as Audrey’s―at least that’s what she believes after waking up dead without her memories and being promptly assigned to hunt demons for the rest of eternity. She’s convinced God’s made a cosmic mistake; after all, she’d rather discuss the color of her nails than break them on angelic weapons.

It doesn’t help that her trainer, Logan, is as infuriating as he is attractive. And just when Audrey and Logan appear close to developing an amicable relationship, a decision made under duress pushes their hearts in a direction neither of them saw coming.

Despite her sub-par fighting abilities, an ancient weapon of unparalleled power chooses Audrey as its wielder, attracting the cautious gazes of her fellow hunters and the attention of Satan himself. With Satan’s eyes now fixed on Audrey, a battle for the safety of the living looms in the shadows.

About the Author

14434144Going the practical route in college she earned a business degree from the University of Michigan. After school, she worked in marketing and publicity for both television and film, until she’d had enough of selling other people’s creative expressions.

She miraculously convinced her dashingly handsome husband that having ten years of experience mentoring youth, the idea of quitting her job to write a young-adult novel was the sensible thing to do.

Since then she’s become a puppy mama to a goldendoodle named Bear, and an actual mother to her adopted daughter.

Review:

Stars: 5/5 Stars

I’m going to start off by saying just go pick up this book now (Seriously, there is no way you can be disappointed)

I LOVED this book. (Might also be my fourth time reading it, and guess what? My view of it never changes, I just love it more and more every time)

Everything having to do with Audrey and Logan was just perfect, and coming from me (The hater of all things Romance, only sometimes though) That is saying something. It isn’t over whelming. Julie made it were Audrey was still B.A.  As in without needing a guy to make her more so. (Can I be more like her please?)

Julie did an amazing job describing afterlife and Heaven, were as a lot of book always tend to over do it, by making it seem unattainable, that isn’t the case here.

I’m trying so hard not to get too spoilery for everyone! I really just loved everything about the writing, the story and the characters.

But don’t take my word for it, pick up a copy now and message me, leave me a comment and tell me your thoughts!

REVIEW:
Stars: 4.5/5 Stars
** spoiler alert ** So I love this book. I couldn’t put it down. I feel heartbroken by that cliff hanger ending too.

Writing: 5/5
Love Interest 1: 1/5
Love Interest 2: 4/5
That 5 Year later part is gonna haunt me..

Feels on the book:
Samantha: I LOVE HER. It was insta love for me. I felt like I could relate to the character and that is such a big deal for me. I love her story with Jonathan(In the beginning if I’m being honest, more on that later) and Christopher . Just wow. Amazing.

Jonathan: Well I hate to say it but ugh. Just No. I had no love for him at any part of the story except for when he was little. I don’t know if it was just me but I didnt like him. He seemed like what my gen would call a “Fuck boy” I feel bad for hating him but I just didnt like him. (Might be personal reasons but he reminded me of my ex and I spent the WHOLE book wanting to punch him in the face)

Jonathan & Samantha: Ill admit it was super cute that they grew up together and they had a deep connection, but I just didn’t feel like they belonged together (Horrible right?) In my mind I’m just stuck in the the asshole is doing great, go figure. jack off. Samantha deserves better… which leads me to…

Samantha & Christopher: WOW. Okay. I loved them together. I felt like they fixed each other. I didnt feel it in a rebound way I honestly wanted them to be together. I still do. They fit together, they have the same interests and he is amazing. He is the guy Samantha deserves.

Let me say again I love this book. It is going to stay with me, but I can’t help but feel robbed. Jonathan just reminds me way too much of the Guy that you should stay away from when Christopher is much rather the guy you should be with. Maybe its just me?
